Matt Stevenson started in the PCB industry in 1995, came to Sunstone in 2006 as quality manager, and progressed to VP of sales and marketing in 2019. He has extensive experience in the PCB industry and has proven his skill and dedication to Sunstone by continuing to grow the company’s revenue, partnerships, and lead excellent customer experiences. Matt’s knowledge of the process from sales to production to quality control provides him a unique view of how to keep Sunstone growing and ahead of our competitors, and his background places him as the most appropriate figure to manage Sunstone's messaging, branding, and value proposition. With eight years as quality assurance manager at Sunstone Circuits, he has proven himself to be an invaluable resource, excelling in managing the quality of the Sunstone product line, and is uniquely qualified to represent the Sunstone brand. Matt has earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in chemistry and chemical engineering from Colorado State University, as well as a master’s degree in business administration from Portland State University.
Karla Thompson was born in Oregon, and has lived in the deserts of Arizona and California as well. She has over 20+ years in the PCB manufacturing industry, in addition to several years in clean room product manufacturing. She is currently managing the CAM department here at Sunstone, and has also held previous positions in manufacturing in both Sales and Production Control. With her many years in the industry Karla enjoys helping customers succeed by streamlining the process of identifying and creating solutions for any design issues found at CAM during review. Karla has an Associate of Science Degree in Environmental Studies, and is currently working on a 2nd degree in Business Administration. Her interests include Geology, gardening, wine-tasting, and bird-watching. She also enjoys spending time with her cats.
Eric is a Pacific Northwest native who grew up in Portland, Oregon. He has been working with Sunstone for 10 years now. Starting out in CAD support and Customer Service he has worked his way over to Inside Sales and helping customer service with escalations. Eric takes pride in helping his customers, whether it’s with resolving design issues or trying to get the best deal for what they need. When he’s not working, he enjoys playing video games and working on electronic music.
Electronics has been in Trina’s blood almost her entire life. Following her parents lead she started working part time at Sunstone as a teenager and has been contributing to Sunstone’s success ever since. She has learned and been involved across the entire manufacturing process and has held several leadership positions at Sunstone. Currently Trina serves as the Image Department Team Leader and ISO process owner, where her heart for people and for our customers is very evident. In this role, Trina has been instrumental in training staff, process improvement, equipment purchases, new product development, and is also very active on the safety, health and wellness committees. Through her thirst for knowledge and need for continual improvement Trina will continue to be an asset for Sunstone for years to come. In her free time, Trina enjoys outdoor activities with her family including snowboarding, camping, kayaking and hiking. She also loves gardening, playing with her dogs and baking.
